Glenn was born and raised in the small town of Cedar Springs, MI. He completed his undergraduate studies in biology at Lake Superior State University in northern Michigan. His interest in Plant Pathology began during a parasitology course when covering a section on nematodes. After graduating, Glenn came to NCSU to pursue his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology with a focus on turfgrass nematology. His current research is on Sting nematode, Belonolaimus longicaudatus, looking at methods of control and the general population ecology in the field.
